2021年マイベスト- Part 2 映画、ドラマ編

今年は、2020年よりも多くの映画を観たと思います。それに、ついに久しぶりに映画館に行く事ができました。妻と私は10月に2回、キャナルシティに新しいジェームズ ボンドとDuneを観に行きました。私は十分に映画を楽しみ、また映画館に戻って来れた事が本当に幸せでした。これは、生活が元に戻って来ていると感じさせる出来事でした。

もちろん現在、新しいコロナウイルスの変異体、オミクロンのニュースが出ており、悲しい事にこの新しい日常がいつまで続くかはわかりません。わずかな後退だといいのですが。

今年、私はドラマは多く観ませんでした。Apple TVのTed Lasso、1つだけだと思います。
Ted Lasso はとても良い演技、暖かく、ポジティブで楽観的です。特にファーストシーズンをとても楽しみました。メインの俳優、ジェイソン・サダイキスは優しくてチャーミングです。概して、観るのはとても楽しいです！

This year I think I watched more films than I did in 2020, and also I finally was able to go to the cinema after a long time. My wife and I went to see a couple of movies in October in Canal City, the new James Bond film and Dune. I enjoyed both thoroughly and I was so happy to be back in the cinema again. That point did feel to me as if life is finally returning to normal. 

Of course now with the news about the new omicron coronavirus variant, I’m not sure how long this new normality will last sadly. Hopefully it’s just a minor setback.

I haven’t watched many dramas this year, I think I just watched one, Ted Lasso on Apple TV. Ted Lasso was really well acted, warm, positive and optimistic. I really enjoyed the first season especially. The lead actor Jason Sudeikis was kind-hearted and charming. All in all, a very pleasant viewing!

今年、これまでに観た中で最もがっかりした映画はSoul と Tenet でした。Soulは、ピクサーで初めてつまらないと思った映画です。悪くはなかったのです、正直かなり良かったのですが、ピクサーはストーリーテリングに高いハードルを設けていますが、それを満たしていないと感じました。Tenetに関しては、何とも観ていられませんでした。私は15分間、一体何が起こっているのか理解しようと頑張りましたが、諦めました。クリストファー・ノーランが大好きだったのですが、残念でした。

From the movies I’ve watched so far this year, maybe the most disappointing were Soul and Tenet. Soul is the first Pixar movie that I felt bored about, it wasn’t particularly bad, honestly it was pretty good but Pixar has set such a high bar for storytelling that I felt this movie didn’t meet. Tenet was downright unwatchable, I spent 15 minutes trying to understand just what the heck was going on and I gave up. A shame, cause I really like Christopher Nolan.

今年私が観たベストムービーはどうでしょうか？ 「Once upon a time in Hollywood」は外せません。タランティーノは私達を60年代のロサンゼルスツアーに連れて行ってくれ、マルゴット・ロビーはとてもゴージャスで、ブラッド・ピットはかっこ良さの縮図のよう、ディカプリオはとても面白かったです。何回も見返すであろう、ハッピーな映画でした！

How about the best movie I’ve watched this year? Well that must have been “Once upon a time in Hollywood” . Margot Robbie was stunningly gorgeous, Brad Pitt was the epitome of cool, and DiCaprio was hilarious as Tarantino took us on a tour of 60s Los Angeles. A great film that I would happily rewatch a number of times!
